Building resilience at the front line of climate, disasters and food insecurity

BUILDING RESILIENCE IN AFRICA
At the Front Line of Climate Change, Disasters & Food Insecurity
Africa stands at the front line of some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including climate change, droughts, floods, disasters, food insecurity, environmental degradation, and displacement. These interconnected risks continue to affect communities, livelihoods, economies, and sustainable development across the continent.
Building resilience in Africa requires more than responding to disasters after they occur. It requires proactive risk reduction, climate adaptation, disaster preparedness, food system resilience, community capacity building, and sustainable development.
Our approach focuses on strengthening the ability of communities, institutions, businesses, and governments to anticipate risks, prepare for shocks, respond effectively, recover quickly, and adapt to changing conditions.
